Some of the jargon might get a bit confusing. We assure you that we did not make this stuff up. All we are doing here is trying as best we can to explain the common terms that you will come into contact with while attempting to communicate over the Internet using SendLink. Even various references we have found disagree as to precisely what different terms mean. We have tried our best to present a simple and consistent set of nomenclature that will help you use SendLink and related Internet software and services. We are not attempting to be the authoratative voice on Internet vocabulary, but are simply trying to help you to sort things out enough to get going sharing your files with SendLink as quickly as possible.

Please note that we can provide support only as your problem relates to SendLink. For instance, if you are having trouble configuring your proxy server, we can help you to indentify what SendLink requires but cannot in general assist you with the details of how to configure the proxy server.
